The traditional Japanese lodging was a unique experience. The hot spring bath was nice and relaxing. The location near the famous Jigoku was a plus.
My Christmas stay was ruined by a couple of major drawbacks. The room was uncomfortably cold, and the heating system wasn't effective at all.

We had a fantastic stay at a ryokan in this city. The location was perfect, as it was close to the main tourist destinations and the bus stop. The hotel facilities were excellent, including the family onsen which our kids loved. the staff was amazing - they were kind, helpful, and could speak English. The cleanliness of the hotel was also very excellent.
Nothing, it was perfect.

Spent Christmas at this cozy and traditional hotel and loved the experience! the highlight of my stay were the hot springs, which were so relaxing and helped me unwind. the hotel is also conveniently located close to many attractions, making it the perfect spot for exploring the surrounding area.
The food served during dinner was not up to par, which was a bit disappointing. I found the onsen schedule a bit confusing, and wished it was in English.
